The kitties check out their Christmas stocking and gifts. |
I have no trouble finding holiday presents for my friends and family. I usually have an idea what they want or see the perfect gift during the year. The cats are another story.
My cats have lots of toys, an assortment of cuddly and comfortable cat beds, three cat trees and quality food. They have toys on wands, a laser light, a cat tunnel and catnip-filled cat pads that I made for them. So deciding what to get them this Christmas was difficult.
The cats love catnip, so that helped narrow things down. And they love playing “kitty soccer” in our new house, which has a large tiled entry way. So I decided more balls would be fun for them and also provide them with exercise.
Last week I went to a large retailer and started looking at the various cat toys. There was quite a selection which made the decision even more difficult. I found a fun moose that was made with Velcro so you can put catnip in it. That one looked like a winner.
Then I saw some prepared stockings that included several balls, five catnip toys and two catnip mousies. And it was reasonably priced!
After I made my selections, I decided I had to buy a couple of things for my mom’s pets, too. I didn’t want them to miss out at Christmastime.
How about you? Do you buy your kitties presents for the holiday?
