Baby sleeping in the sun after his videotaping gig. |
I was recently asked to videotape a segment for
Cat College with my
Siamese cat, Baby. I took him to work and we went upstairs to do the taping. The producers decided I would hold him during the taping. After the fact, we discovered that didn’t work, because Baby muffled the microphone so it was hard to hear me talk.
So a couple of weeks later, we tried again. This time, we set up a table high enough so Baby could still be in the frame, but not block the microphone. The first time we did it, Baby was very vocal and kind of squirmy, but this time he acted like a seasoned professional. He sat relatively still and only vocalized a few times.
Baby really loved the attention he got from my colleagues in the office. I had him on a harness so I could take him safely out of his carrier and he walked from person to person for pets and love. He even sat in on a conference call with me, and surprised the people we were talking to in Iowa when he meowed.
I took him home at lunchtime, and he immediately curled up in the sun for a nap. He made quite an impression on several of the staff who mentioned to me how much they enjoyed meeting him and how handsome he is.
Please check us out on the Psychology video on Cat College. I’ve been taking the classes myself and have learned quite a bit. I hope you enjoy Cat College as much as I have and that you enjoy seeing Baby in action.
