I recently had the opportunity to attend a class with an animal communicator. The class offered the opportunity to:
- Discover how to deepen your relationship with your pet by understanding their wants and needs
- Find out how our animal companions typically feel and think
- Learn about ways to address our pets’ unresolved emotional or health concerns
- Experience a demonstration of communication with animals.
The communicator, Bonnie, offered some ideas that I had not known before. Specifically, she said that animals think like children and pets think in pictures like humans do. So if you think and picture what you want your pet to do, they will pick up on it.
She also feels it is important to think in positive terms and don’t call pets negative names, like Fatso. Pets crave discipline and guidelines. They also like to be informed about what’s going on, so it is good to let them know if you are going on vacation, or when you will be returning to the house. Cats use their entire bodies to receive communication
Our pets are in our lives to teach us about love. They are our mirrors, our teachers, and our guides Pets are more accepting of death than humans and Bonnie feels our pets will be there when we cross over from life.
Bonnie then did a reading of my cat, Baby, and he told her about the time we got robbed in Miami. Bonnie has also read for a client of mine, Bucky. Bucky told her he didn’t like the two big dogs that came to visit his house on a regular basis. Having seen Bucky with the dogs, I know this to be true.
This was an interesting class and gave me more insight into how my cats communicate with me.
