Lisa A. Hanks is a freelance writer based in Newport Beach, Calif., who volunteers in pet-rescue work. She authors the monthly CAT FANCY column Natural Cat and is owned by three cats, who check her work daily from a lap-side seat.
Marilyn Krieger Professor — Language and Psychology
Marilyn Krieger is a certified cat behavior consultant and owner of The Cat Coach, which offers both on-site and phone consultations for all cat breeds. She is an advice expert for and CAT FANCY magazine.
Ramona Marek Professor — Art History
Ramona Marek, a former special education teacher, holds a master’s degree in education. She is a member of the Cat Writers' Association and long-time supporter of the arts. She is inspired by her two feline muses, Tsarevich Ivan and Natasha Fatale.
Cimeron Morrissey Professor — Sociology
Cimeron Morrissey is the founder of  Project Bay Cat, a successful Trap-Neuter-Return program for feral cats. Having majored in Sociology in college, she began applying the science to study feral and shelter cats. Cimeron is an award-winning writer and Animal Planet’s 2007 Cat Hero of the Year.
Arnold Plotnick Professor — Biology
Arnold Plotnick, DVM, is a board-certified veterinary internist and feline specialist and the owner of Manhattan Cat Specialists. He is the medical editor of Catnip newsletter and an advice expert of and CAT FANCY magazine. He lives in New York with his cats Crispy and Mittens.
