What do you do during hard times when money is tight and you are not sure how to feed yourself let alone how to feed your cat? In many communities, there are shelter and rescue organizations dedicated to distributing cat food and other pet food, and some traditional food banks also serve cat and other pet owners. Dog, cat food available on a once-a-month basis. Animals must be spayed/neutered in order to qualify, however if someone needs assistance and doesn't have their pets fixed, NHS offers resources to help find low-cost options.

In a number of cities across the country, many food banks also take donations of canned pet food, along with donated food for people. It would make sense to check out those organizations for pet food. If they don't currently accept it, perhaps they could start a pet food section.

Hi I have two cats and cannot afford to feed them now I refuse to put them out I love them dearly there are no pet pantrys in brooklyn ny looking for any food donations to feed them time is hard greatly appreciated

I'm presently on disability & I could use all the help provided in taking care of my cats & dogs.I have 2 dogs,& 15 cats/kittens.I love them all I keep them in my house their not out doors.I spend about $78 a month of food & litter.So any help offered would be greatly appreciated.I love taking care of all of them.It gives me something 2 do & they provide companionship,love,& happiness.I live in West Chester Ohio so if you could drop off food or litter that would help out alot.The dogs are on Purina its the best,& the cats are on Whiskas/purina in door.Cat littler we use Fresh step,& tidy cats multicat.I use about 7 litter boxes clean them every day somtimes tx.Thanks for any help or advice.Sincerely Miss Tara Firman
