After Hurricane Katrina, the no-kill animal facilities were unable to place six kittens that we raised. We already had six adult cats, including the three-legged mother, as well as two dogs. Our 1,100 square foot home was just not large enough. So we expanded outdoors. We installed a $2,700 PVC 6-foot fence, a security pet door, and then built our cat jungle gym.   This way everyone is safe inside,and they can climb, hunt and lounge.  We even installed a handi-cat ramp for Skippy (the mother) to climb up and enjoy.

When we lost one of our homes that I enjoyed working on in Hurricane Katrina, the new jungle gym has become my new creative outlet. This is a work in progress, so it will only get better.
