I need only two things,” says Jan Danos, “a place where I could be free to paint undisturbed and where my cats could do their own thing. That’s what I told my husband when we decided to close in the garage as part of the renovation.”
Jan and Ken Danos live on a small farm in the moss-draped countryside just north of Moss Point, Miss. Ken is a nurse anesthetist, and Jan considers herself the proprietor of the best little cat house in Mississippi. It turns out she also was a nurse anesthetist but now is retired and spends her time overseeing their small farm.
