You've just welcomed a kitten into your home. Ideally, your new friend should be 12 weeks old before it's separated from its mom and siblings, but sometimes life intervenes, and you end up caring for a very young kitten.

A Room of One's Own
Set up a sanctuary for your companion in a small, warm, quiet bathroom or spare bedroom, preferably without carpeting. Remove plants, cleaners, breakables and any string-like objects such as dental floss or thread. In chilly weather, include a heating pad set to low.
