Thirteen years ago, a white cat, now known as Divi, was born in cottage country north of Toronto, Canada. At 6 months old, she was pregnant and without food or shelter. She got lucky and found an old barn for refuge — until the farmer discovered her. When he saw that she was pregnant, dirty and full of fleas, he fed her and took her to a pet store to see if the staff would give her a home until her litter was born. Divi was lucky again, because the staff took her in.
