A tiny kitten is rescued during a Mexico mission of love.

For champion feral cat campaigner Louise Holton, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, always will be linked to Tequila. A scrawny kitten with a broken leg received a new home and her clever name during Holton’s mission to Mexico.
“She’s the best souvenir ever,” Holton says of Tequila. Holton, founder of Alley Cat Rescue and a pioneer of trap neuter and return (TNR) in America, was in Mexico on a feline mercy-mission. Because she was there to help local animal volunteers curb the feral-cat and stray-dog population, Holton never planned to return home with a kitten.
