Herb Gardens for Cats

DIY Herb Garden

Build a windowsill herb garden you and your cat can enjoy.

By Tom Barthel

Indoor herb gardens have been around since the invention of the windowsills that hold them. Build a custom-sized box for your favorite herbs, and you and your cat can benefit from fresh, nutritious herbs year-round.
Catmint, catnip and grain grasses, such as wheat, barley and rye, make excellent additions to any kitchen and kitty food bowl. These versatile, easy-to-grow plants thrive in a windowsill environment.
