Since the CATalyst Council chose the 10 best places to be a cat three years ago, rescue organizations have actually seen increased adoptions and improved support for cat-friendly programs. Wendy Bedwell-Wilson describes the criteria used to honor these 10 towns across the United States and how they celebrate the human-feline bond.

I have to admit that I avoid traveling with my cats, unless I have to take them to the veterinarian. As much as I miss them when I travel, I think my cats are happiest at home with a cat sitter. But if I had to move and travel by car or airplane with my cats, I wouldn't want to be without Erika Sorocco's tips for safe air travel or Audrey Pavia's advice on successful road trips.
