Kung Pao
Vicki and Mike Morgan
Howell, Mich.

Whether he's helping decorate the Christmas tree, pretending to be a decoration himself, helping himself to a decoration, or just hanging around, no one loves Christmas quite like Kung Pao. We anchor the Christmas tree to the wall because of his tree-climbing affinity.

What do cats think of Christmas? Well, we know what our cat thinks. During the holiday season, Cali's perfect stay-away is resting on a red blanket under a pine – the Holiday Kitty Hotel.

Our Susan was about 15 years old in this photo. She was doing poorly that month simply due to age, and we were sad and watchful. However, when we took out the Christmas decorations and she saw her favorite – the garland – she perked up like she hadn't in a long time and dove into them with glee. Her burst of energy didn't last long, but it touched us all. We had to have her put down a few days before Christmas, as she was simply ready to go. We miss her and think about her every year when the garland comes out.

Mickey the Mouser loves Christmas because he gets great treats. If he finds them, he rips into the bag before his brothers and sisters can get any.

Roxy became my roommate in mid-2003 and, when we shared our first Christmas together, I discovered her love of shiny objects, feathered decorations and a live tree. After 9 years, the shiny objects remain, but the feathered decorations and live tree are memories of Christmas past.

One Christmas morning, we found a beautiful kitten under our tree. My wife found Angel at the rescue shelter and decided to surprise us. Angel fills our home with love, and each Christmas she returns to her spot under the tree. Everyone should find an Angel under their tree at Christmas!

Meet Figment, my 11-year-old furry son. He came to me through an adoption agency when he was 7. He was my first cat, so I was nervous. People told me it would take a while before he warmed up to me and the new house. But it didn't take long before we were cuddled on the sofa together. Christmas is my favorite time and Fig loves it too because he just loves tissue paper. As you can see, if there is tissue paper, he's right there. He's my own fuzzy Christmas gift. I'm so glad we found each other – he is a gift every single day.

Elphaba always seems to know exactly where her gifts are placed underneath the Christmas tree.

My Ragdoll, Izzo, simply LOVES my stuffed Santa Claus doll. He cuddles with it and grooms it.
