Lynea Lattanzio’s Cat House on the Kings is a sanctuary for abandoned and feral cats.

By Stacy N. Hackett

Lynea Lattanzio gave up her diamonds, her Mercedes Benz and her luxurious five-bedroom house to save thousands of homeless cats. And in 17 years, she’s never had a moment’s regret.

Lattanzio, 60, owns and operates The Cat House on the Kings, home to 700 homeless cats. The no-kill cat sanctuary and adoption center is located on 12 acres, along the Kings River in Parlier, Calif., southeast of Fresno.
