How We Met
Sunshine - Domestic Longhair
My Cat's Name:

Together Since:
How I met my adopted cat:
I was working as a Hospice nurse at the time. We spotted a very pregnant cat living under our office. We put out a live trap and caught her. I took her home, made a bed in our bathtub, and waited for her to have her kittens. She had 5 beautiful kittens two days later. Four weeks later, a fellow nurse found a tiny 4 week old kitten about to be thrown in a dumpster by a couple of kids. She knew my momma was still nursing her kittens, so she brought him to me and we put him in with Sunshine. She just pulled him in and started nursing him. We found her kittens good homes, but couldn't part with either Sunshine or the little stray we named Winston who is now 17. Sunshine is now 19 and more playful than any of our other cats. She also has another talent we can't understand. If something is wrong with either me or my husband, she goes to our bathroom and finds what we need and brings it to us, laying it down in front of the person with the ailment (ie. bug bite, headache, etc.). How she knows we will probably never know, but she's always right. We love her, and Winston, and two other rescues, Maggie Mae & Boston Blackie, two black 9 yr olds who were dumped at our country home with 4 other litter mates. All our fur babies are very loved and spoiled, and we don't know what we'd do without them.

Glad to hear that you have helped so many kitties, not to mention giving two "wild" girls a good home, too.
