Where does your cat sleep at night?

It's Good to be Blue

A sick and injured Siamese finds a loving home.

By Stacy N. Hackett

Blue demands company frequently and at all hours of the night, according to his new owner, Marianne Yaunt of Virginia. The senior cat, who is about 10 to 12 years old, provides lots of love at every opportunity. He especially enjoys giving his family members — including three children ages 13, 9 and 7 — lots of purrs and headbutts.

Blue seems to have recovered well from his rough past. A good Samaritan found him on the side of the road in southwestern Virginia last summer, teeming with parasites and suffering from severe dental disease and a serious wound over his eye. The cat was brought to Old Dominion Vet Clinic in Troutville, Va., where the staff cared for his injuries and discovered his sweet, gentle nature.
