Kenny the Wonder Cat

Kenny, a handsome gray and white cat, was unwanted, sick and slated to die. Now this charming cat and his owner Diane McGuire, teach love, kindness and respect to bruised and battered children.
Friendly Charmer
Nearly seven years ago, Diane McGuire delivered pet supplies her company provided as a Christmas charity to the Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL), the shelter that rescued Kenny. On a tour, McGuire noticed the young male cat with dreamy green eyes. “He was so friendly. I wondered why nobody adopted that sweet boy,” McGuire says.
Diagnosed with a mild pancreatic disorder, the cat needed a daily dose of enzymes in his food to aid digestion.
Several days later, McGuire was near the AAWL. Thoughts of the gray and white cat lingered, so she stopped by. “What was I thinking!” McGuire says. “I already had pets. I didn’t need another one.”
McGuire adopted the frisky feline and named him Kenny. “Mr. Personality was different from any cat I’d ever had,” she says.
