Why Do I Love My Cat
I love my cat because she is like a child. She cries for me if I go in a room and shut the door. She jumps up to me, and I have to catch her, to sit on my shoulder as I walk through the house. She plays fetch for hours with rings made of pipe cleaners. She sleeps with me. I have had cats my whole life, and currently have 8 indoor cats, but she is the only one that has ever stuck by my side like glue. She truly is the most special cat I have ever owned. I lost her for an entire month in November of 2013 and was almost on the verge of a nervous breakdown over the entire ordeal. We finally found her under our house. She had gotten in a cabinet and got under the bath tub and found her way down a hole and was afraid to come back up. I could hear her meowing where ever I was and my family thought I was hearing things. I even went as far as to cut holes in the walls searching for her. The Monday before Christmas we found her.

My Scottish Fold, Beathan, is my baby. At night, he scoots under the covers, while I hold them up, and curls up against my back. Then, maybe when he gets to warm, he comes up and sleeps on my pillow. He stays always stays near by. We have a kitty "spa" day around the beginning of the month for nail clipping, ears, eyes, and teeth check. He is so good. When I brought him home 5-1/2 years ago, I told him he was going to be trained...kind of like a puppy. So, he knows "treat, night-night, brefast (kitty talk), up," and a few other things. He knows he cannot go off the patio. He knows, "mommy loves B," and he talks a lot. Love it!!!!

My domestic shorthair, Lily, is fond of curling up on a pillow beside me while I'm reading or watching TV. She loves to be stroked, and if I stop, she will use her paw to "guide" my hand back to wherever she wants to be petted.

My Tortie, Susie, ignores me much of the day. But she is fond of climbing up onto the bed in the middle of the night and yammering at me. Then she either curls up and goes to sleep or goes into her "bedroom" (my closet) to sleep. By then, of course, I'm wide awake. Cats!
