As the days get longer and the temperature gets warmer, it’s time once again for spring cleaning. That means dusting corners, washing windows and scrubbing floors. While you and your family — including your pets — enjoy living in a clean house, you must keep in mind how cleaning affects your cat.

Consider this scenario: You mop your kitchen floor. Your cat walks across the damp floor, then sits down and washes its face — licking its paws in the process. The chemicals that just made your floor sparkling clean now are being ingested by your cat.
