The French are synonymous with refinement and class. So a French name was absolutely perfect for a polite, dignified European Burmese belonging to Judith Kollmann, a Michigan-based breeder. Can Can, as she is called, embodies not only the impeccable manners of an aristocrat but also the charming personality of a typical European Burmese.
“She’s always very polite, and when she wants to get in my face when I’m stretched out watching TV, she will get on me but down around my waist,” Kollmann says. “She’ll just look at me. Then I will look right into her eyes and say, ‘Can Can can.’ She knows her name, and she knows it’s permission. Then she comes up and curls and cuddles on my cheek.”
