Is the time right for you to add a new cat to your home? Missouri residents can adopt a cat 6 months or older during September for $39.95 at any of the Humane Society of Missouri adoption centers.
The cats at the shelter are desperate for good homes. To help place the cats with loving families, the Humane Society of Missouri has reduced the adoption fee during the month of September. All cats go to their new homes with: The first FVRCP vaccination (for feline viral rhinotracheitis/calici/panleukopenia) One-year rabies vaccination First deworming Initial flea treatment Ear cleaning and nail trimming Spay or neuter surgery Temporary collar, tag and cardboard carrier Avid microchip with national registration A Paw Partner membership that provides 10 percent off all veterinary services for the cat’s lifetime Picture of the new owner and pet together Fifteen percent off purchases at the gift shop on the day of adoption and 10 percent off the first week after adoption
To further encourage cat adoptions, the Humane Society of Missouri offers these reasons why cats make good pets: People who own cats live longer, have less stress and have fewer heart attacks. Stroking your cat can lower your blood pressure. Cats are good listeners.
