Does your cat claim to be a “Demo-cat for Obama”? Or does your pet think “McCain is Purr-fect”? Now your cat can let everyone know who it supports in the upcoming presidential election by wearing a Patriotic Pets campaign button for cats and dogs.
Sharon Young of Kansas City offers the buttons through her website, PoliticalShop.com. To help promote her buttons, Young composed a rap song – “Bark Obama vs. McCain9” – and produced a video to go with it, which is posted on the website.
“I was watching the candidates fight like cats and dogs on TV one day,” Young said. “I decided to write a song about Election 2008 as seen through the eyes of dogs and cats.”
Young created dog and cat buttons that depict characters in the video. The buttons are also available in people sizes.
