Norma Ruggles couldn’t believe the phone call telling her that her cat, Mystic, was at a car dealership in Conroe, Texas. Luckily, the cat was wearing a collar with a tag etched with Ruggles’ phone number, KHOU Channel 11 News (Houston) reports.
Mystic jumped out of Ruggles’ RV while at a rest stop in northern Florida. The cat then climbed under the hood of a new Chevy Tahoe strapped to a car-carrier truck headed for Texas.
The Tahoe was unloaded at Buckalew Chevrolet in Conroe. When a mechanic popped the hood, he discovered the cat.
“I got the call and I thought I was going to die,” Ruggles said. “I couldn’t believe it.”
Ruggles was in Port Arthur, Texas, when she got the call, and was able to travel to Conroe to pick up the cat.
