Volunteers Start Removing 200 Cats From N.Y. Home
Volunteers have started removing an estimated 200 cats from a Long Island home. Robert Misseri, a volunteer with animal rescue group Rescue Ink, says 25 kittens and 10 female cats were removed from the home in Moriches on Wednesday afternoon. The volunteers also brought food for the remaining cats. Acting on a tip, the group met last month with the family, who were about to lose their home and were struggling to buy cat food, Newsday (N.Y.) reports.
