Pam Johnson-Bennett is an author, columnist and cat behaviorist.
Pam Johnson-Bennett, a pet book author, columnist, media personality, cat behavior consultant and CatChannel contributor, has been awarded the 2008 Winn Feline Foundation Media Appreciation Award.

Her cat book titles include “Think Like a Cat,” “Hiss and Tell,” and recently “Psycho Kitty” and “Starting from Scratch.” In addition to mentioning the foundation in recent books, she’s written about the organization in her column.

She’s also talked about Winn in her appearances on television, radio and at veterinary events. The foundation, marking 40 years of helping cats, is a nonprofit group that supports cat health studies.

Foundation President Dr. Susan Little said, “Winn is pleased to honor Pam Johnson-Bennett. Pam’s outstanding efforts to improve the health and well-being of cats are deserving of our recognition and honor.”

Johnson-Bennett was presented the award live on WGN Radio by Steve Dale — recipient of the first Media Appreciation Award — during his show. Earlier winners include journalists and pet book authors Kim Thornton and Amy Shojai.
