Oh my, so what if it had been a human being the dog attacked? Would the owner of the pit bull been charged then?

I was in my front yard with one of cats one time. I saw someone walking their dog on a leash so I decided to pick up Zip while they walked by. The dog got off its leash and came up and started jumping all over me with cat in hand. I was screaming at the lady to get her dog off of me but she just thought it was funny. Even though Zip scratched me trying to get down I wasn't mad at her. I am glad I did pick her up because the dog probably would have attacked her.

Those people who responded to the newspaper article need to know what kind of cat Bob is - a Maine Coon cat. A big, (maybe fat was a poor choice of words) cat. It sounds like they thought he was mistreated because he was "fat". Anyway, it sounds like someone must have kept Bob and he "escaped" from that situation. I am so happy he's back home and I am definitely going to get my cats microchipped.

Hopefully these people can find somewhere to give these exotic animals a home.

I don't understand why the man who owned the pit bull won't be charged. The dog was obviously out of the fence and loose or it would not have been shot. The poor woman. Another good reason to keep the kitties indoor only.
