Charleston Shelter Waiving Fees for Cats
The Charleston (S.C.) Animal Society is launching its Cat Project. Through May 3, the facility will be waiving its adoption fee for adult cats over a year old. The project is a way to help the shelter reduce the number of cats it’s currently housing, WCBD-TV reports.

Tree Surgeon Saves Cat Stuck in Tree
Stuck high up a tree was not the purr-fect place for Smudge the cat. But that was where the year-old feline was rescued from in East London by tree surgeon Brendan Smith, after an ordeal lasting around 38 hours, reports the Newham (England) Recorder.
