"Housecat Housecall," one of the first feline reality-based programs, returns to Animal Planet on June 6 for a second season of helping resolve cat problems.

The weekly show profiles cat owners as they work with host Katrina Warren, BVSc, and her team. The show features cat owners as well as veterinarians as they work through a wide range of common cat behaviors and lifestyle adjustments. The show is presented by Purina Cat Chow.

“ 'Housecat Housecall' provides cat owners with valuable cat-care information that they can apply to their own relationships with their feline friends, ultimately helping them live a more connected life together,” Warren said.

For the series, 12 families are profiled as they deal with a wide range of cat-related concerns. The goal of the show is to relate to as many cat parents as possible.

Some of the issues include dealing with quirky cats with a lot of energy to more complex matters, such as helping an outdoor cat adjust to its new indoor lifestyle. The cat owners are coached on how to work toward long-term solutions.

“We are excited to bring the show back for a second season and provide even more cat owners with actionable solutions for bringing harmony back to their households,” Warren said.

Episodes are set to air during a 12-week period at 10:30 a.m. E/P every Saturday with weekly encores at 8 a.m. E/P each Sunday beginning June 6.

This is a great show and I am glad it it coming back on the air for a second season. There are a great many dog care shows on TV, but, unfortunately, not enough cat care shows on the air. I heartily recommend it to everyone. I remember getting up early Saturday morning just to watch it in the first season.
