Kittens should not be sold in pets stores. You cannot get registered purebred kittens in pet stores. You have to get them from a registered breeder. Those kittens come from backyard operations or puppy mills, from people breeding exclusively for money, without any concern for the welfare of the animals. If you don't want to get a purebred cat, go get one at the shelter. There are enough animals looking for a home. If you want a certified purebred cat, deal only with a reputable breeder. It should be illegal for pet store to sell cats and dogs. It would put those awlful people (backyard breeders and puppy mills owners) out of business once and for all. That's my opinion. Thank you everyone.
