Who says cats and dogs don't get along?
Kit Cat, a 2-month-old black-and-white
kitten, and Chloe, a 5-month-old
Chihuahua, are as close as siblings.
But last week, the pair was relinquished to the
Washington Humane Society in Washington, D.C., because their owner could no longer afford to keep them, according to Tara de Nicolas of the society.
The two sleep together, play together and sometimes eat each other's food, according to WHS adoption manager Natalie Kahla. In honor of the special bond shared by the two, the humane society has pledged that it will only adopt them out to the same home.
According to de Nicolas, the society has received inquiries about the pair, but no one has filed an adoption application yet.
