Feline Pine, a cat litter manufacturer, recently conducted an online study of 726 cat owners that revealed some interesting results about people’s relationships with their cats and their cats’ health and behavior.
Here were the survey results:
- 78 percent have not cut back on expenses for their pets due to the economy.
- 89 percent would adopt a cat or kitten from a local shelter if they were looking for a new one.
- 47 percent take their cats to the vet once a year.
- 43 percent allow their cats to sleep in bed with them at night.
- 71 percent also have a dog in their home.
- 57 percent communicate with their cats by talking to them like they would another person.
- 92 percent have had their cats spayed or neutered.
- 64 percent do not allow their cats to go outside.
