Cat Runs Dog-Grooming Business
Carolyn Headrick has no delusions about the star of her downtown Fremont business. "Oliver," said Headrick, who owns Dogs-R-Us Grooming. At her best guess, she said Oliver is about 14 years old. He’s solid black and “a little on the heavy side.” Cat? In a dog grooming business? Yes, and Headrick said Oliver has a following, reports the Fremont (Nebraska) Tribune.

Adopt Less-Adoptable Pets and Make Their Day
The folks at Petfinder.com, which lists homeless animals from 12,656 shelters and rescue groups, are hoping to spur more interest in pets that are never the first chosen, pets that languish for months (if they're lucky enough to land where there's sufficient space to give them some extra time). "Less adoptable" pets make the best ones! My boys were considered less adoptable than the other cats at their shelter because they had lost that kitten cuteness but didn't have their adult look. My one boy was downright homely! They both grew into gorgeous adults with winning purrsonalities. Don't pass up a fantastic pet just because he or she isn't as cute as the kittens. Those kittens will grow out of their cuteness. Choose based on purrsonality and the proper fit in your home. You won't regret it in the long run!

my friend Sue had a comic book store, and every weekend we would take our cats there for visits. Other people brought their cats and it was great fun. we had the occasional dog come in, too. I will never forget that. every store needs a cat !!

I have four kitties, two rescues and two adopted. I adopted Niki when he was two years old. While that is not really old, he was still not a kitten and was overlooked by many. He is a real stinker, but we love him. My mom just adopted a nine year old siamese.
