A little black cat crossed paths with the wrong person on Halloween before being rescued and taken to an animal hospital. Somebody burned the fur on a kitten’s head Saturday with acid or some other corrosive substance, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Inmates, Pets Help Each Other at Oregon Shelter
By day, Duane Parton III is known as the dog whisperer; and his cohort James Erdman, the cat whisperer. Both earned those designations for their winning ways with the critters at the Lincoln County (Oregon) Animal Shelter. By night, however they're known simply as inmates for crimes that landed them in the local slammer, reports the Associated Press.
