Tiger Undergoes Surgery at Tufts University
Kya, a 2-year-old Bengal tiger, is back home at Southwick's Zoo in Mendon, Mass., after being one of the first patients at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University to receive laparoscopic surgery. The 180-pound tigress underwent a routine spaying procedure, reports the (Worcester, Mass.) Telegram & Gazette.
