In recognition of National Spay/Neuter Month, Tree House Humane Society, with the help of Cook County’s Spay/Neuter rebate, is offering free and discounted
spaying and neutering throughout February as part of its “Sex and the Kitty” campaign.
Each household can receive two free services. Tree House encourages pet parents to not only spay and neuter their own pets, but to practice
Trap-Neuter-Return to control the feral cat population; Cook County has an estimated 700,000 stray and feral cats, according to the humane society.
Free and discounted services include:
- Free spay/neuter surgeries for cats of low-income households
- Free feral cat packages
- $10 spay/neuter surgeries for other pet cats
- $40 discount on all spay/neuter surgeries for dogs 50 pounds and under
