The Cat Care Society will get pro bono help in its fundraising campaign. |
The Cat Care Society of Denver is one of three non-profit organizations that was selected through a contest to receive pro bono work from award-winning agency Cohn Marketing.
Cat Care Society, along with Cancer Crusaders of New Orleans and Empower Playgrounds of Provo, Utah, were among 25 nominated agencies, and were selected as the top three groups by a public vote conducted Dec. 11-23.
Cat Care Society, which received 44,890 votes, operates a limited-admission cage-free shelter for homeless and abused cats while providing community outreach programs. Cohn Marketing, based in Denver, will assist the group in promoting its new fundraiser, Tales of the Painted Cats.
"The Cat Care Society is doing amazing things to find homes for our cats, and we are so excited to be working with Cohn Marketing to help drive awareness about our fun and fresh fundraiser, Tales of the Painted Cats," said executive director Shari Shiffer-Krieger. "The painted cats, which artists have been working on since the fall, will be ready to unveil in February, and we hope that with Cohn's help we will achieve all of our fundraising goals."
Cat Care Society, founded in 1981 by Linda East, DVM, and Lynn Rowe, provides a temporary refuge for up to 45 adult cats until an appropriate and permanent home can be found for each.
