Share Royal Canin's infographic on spay/neuter for your cat and get a coupon for a free food sample.

Premium dog and cat food maker Royal Canin has launched a cat spay/neuter campaign that invites cat owners to share a Facebook infographic in exchange for free food.

The “You Share, We Give” campaign began Aug. 29 in support of the St. Charles, Mo.-based company's new Spayed/Neutered cat food formulas.

Fans who share the infographic at Royal Canin's Facebook page with another Facebook user receive a downloadable coupon good for a free sample of the Spayed/Neutered canned formula. Up to 25,000 cans will be given away.

The cat diets also include four dry formulas: Kitten, Appetite Control, Appetite Control 7+ and Spayed/Neutered 12+.

“There is a great need for a diet that addresses the decreased energy and increased appetite that result from [spaying and neutering],” said Dr. Brent Mayabb, DVM, manager of education and development for Royal Canin.

The company will donate $25,000 to the American Humane Association in support of feline health research.
