Cat behaviorists want to see your cats in action.

Pam Johnson-Bennett, CABC, of Cat Behavior Associates and Marilyn Krieger, CCBC,  have created a contest for cat owners, to showcase and share cats who have turned around bad behavior or simply mastered a critical cat skill. The "My Cat's Story" contest offers prizes such as  a $150 pre-paid VISA gift card, an autographed copy of "Think Like a Cat" by Pam Johnson-Bennett, an autographed copy of "Naughty No More" by Marilyn Krieger and the e-book "Good Cat" by Steve Dale.

Create a cat video, under 4 minutes long, that shares your cat's story. Judges are looking for the following topics:

  • Making great strides in instilling trust in your cat.
  • Successfully training your cat to use the litterbox.
  • Calming a stressed cat.
  • Any other story that shares positive cat behavior.

Fellow pet expert Steve Dale, CABC, will help judge the videos along with Krieger and Johnson-Bennett. The winner will be voted on by the public.

Upload videos to YouTube with the title “My Cat's Story Video Contest” between March 1, 2013, and March 31, 2013. Find the official contest rules for specific entry information and eligibility requirements at the Cat Behavior Associates website.

I agree with Galadriel below. Ditto here. Good Luck to those that do enter.

Sounds like fun but I don't really like voting contests. Usually means the most popular person wins. Not the best video.
