Three-Story Pet Hotel Opens in San Francisco

The 35,000-square-foot facility has 239 rooms.

Wag Hotel, a three-story, 239-room hotel for cats and dogs, celebrates the grand opening of its San Francisco property from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 12 and 13.

The grand opening will include free tours of the facility, a 10 percent discount on all purchases and reservations, and prizes such as a free lifetime stay in Wag Hotels. Visitors are encouraged to bring their pets.

Wag Hotel will donate 15 percent of all proceeds from store sales and reservations made during the event to Pets Are Wonderful Support, a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that provides for the comprehensive needs of companion animals for low-income persons living with HIV/AIDS and other illnesses.

Store products include clothing accessories, edible items, toys and bedding.

The 35,000-square-foot hotel has amenities such as a 5,600-gallon indoor swimming pool, a rooftop lawn for “business walks” and indoor play areas.

Dog spa services include massages, blueberry facials, paw-dicures and other grooming services. Cats stay in The Cattery, which has 20 multi-level condos, each with a private bathroom and view of a central freshwater aquarium.

“As a pet owner and frequent traveler, I know how important it is to have a place that ensures the health and safety of my bulldog, Zoebee — and that’s why I created Wag,” Wag Hotels founder and chief executive Ritu Raj said.

The grand opening takes place at 25 14th St. in San Francisco. For more information, call (888) 924-5463, email info@waghotels.com or click here.
