Although I just got my Ragdoll kitten & my house is pest-free, this is very good information to have. We have a dog & 2 indoor cats, plus, the usual house traffic. I like that it offers an edible solution (debittered brewer's yeast), which is a healthy alternative.

I know all about brewer's yeast! We used to use that on our family cat when I was growing up. He had a huge flea problem. We would mix it into a paste and then wipe it on his paw. He used to eat it like a champ. That stuff is great!

Very lucky that none of these indoor cats have no fleas or ticks for years. Whew!

So happy to read about the yeast. I have had my cat for 6 years and she never had a problem until this last 7 months. She is mostly indoors but I do take her outdoors for walks.

Yeah, fleas can show up when you have no pets. We had this happen at my mom's one year with sand fleas. They were hitching a ride in on our shoes. At that time we dusted the inside with flea powder, left it on a day and vacuumed it up. My stepdad sprayed the outside with a solution from the feed store but my stepson just used more flea powder outside his house. Now a days I use food grade Diaomaceous Earth in our pets' food, on them and around the yard and house. It kills without poison. Do a web search on its uses for humans and animals.

so how young is too young to feed this to my kittens. It seems mama had fleas when she had her kittens and now they all have them. My kittens are barely 3 weeks old. Can anyone answer this.

I have four indoor kitties only. One year they too got fleas. I did the back of the neck treatment for two months and have not had a problem since. Thank God!

I feed some cats in the neighborhood. Now I wonder if I am bringing home any fleas to my cats. This was good to know.
