Best Friends Animal Society will bring 50 cats from the FLOCK facility in Pahrump, Nev., to the Sunset Station casino in Henderson for a special adoption event on Sunday, Oct. 7. The animal welfare organization and the casino invite cat lovers to come meet the cats and take home a new feline friend.
“It’s all under the umbrella of helping those in need during a crisis,” said Staci Columbo, Station Casinos’ vice president of marketing and advertising. “Station Casinos has been very generous to offer the resort locations and customer-base to assist the cats in a time of need. We understand the power of the animal bond.”
This adoption event comes on the heels of the successful one held last weekend at the Santa Fe Station casino in Las Vegas. Thirty-two cats found new homes, including Cheese, an orange tabby who now lives with Jean Peyton, her guide dog, Geiger, and her three other orange tabbies: Gus, Tigger and Noah.
Sunday’s event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sunset Station located at 301 W. Sunset Road in Henderson. For more information about the adoption events, visit the Best Friends Animal Society website.
