One-O-One Mascalzone LatinoOne-O-One Mascalzone Latino, a black exotic cat, was named Best-in-Show at the 18th annual Cat Fanciers Association International Cat Show, which wrapped up yesterday in San Mateo, Calif.

This years Best-in Show cat comes extremely close to meeting the written standards for the exotic breed, said Pam DelaBar, president of the CFA. Competition was fierce this year, but he really earned the title with his wonderful presentation.

One-O-One competed against 823 pedigreed felines to earn the title. He is almost one-and-a-half years old, and is owned by Marcella Marenco of Rinale Ligure, Italy. He also won the title Best Longhair Championship.

Competition at the show was broken into three categories kitten, championship and premiership (spayed females and neutered males). The shows other top five winning cats were:

  • Best Shorthair Championship: Majikmoon Will Silver With Age, Sphynx
