One-O-One Mascalzone LatinoOne-O-One Mascalzone Latino, a black exotic cat, was named Best-in-Show at the 18th annual Cat Fanciers Association International Cat Show, which wrapped up yesterday in San Mateo, Calif.

This years Best-in Show cat comes extremely close to meeting the written standards for the exotic breed, said Pam DelaBar, president of the CFA. Competition was fierce this year, but he really earned the title with his wonderful presentation.

Competition at the show was broken into three categories kitten, championship and premiership (spayed females and neutered males). The shows other top five winning cats were:

  • Best Shorthair Kitten: Heartbeeps Stardust, a blue Russian
  • Best Longhair Kitten: Kissables Sensation, a Persian
  • Best Shorthair Championship: Majikmoon Will Silver With Age, Sphynx
  • Best Longhair Premiership: Kenkat Play It Again Sam, Persian
  • Best Shorthair Premiership: Casadecanos Black Orpheus, Oriental shorthair
