Amy Shojai Named Cat Writer of the Year

Cat Writers Association honors writers and artists at its annual award banquet.

Amy Shojai was one of the many writers and artists honored at the Cat Writers Associations annual awards banquet held in San Mateo, California, in November. Shojai won the Friskies Writer of the Year Award, presented by Nestle Purina PetCare, for her promotion of welfare, health and proper care of cats during the contest year.

Shojai was also presented with the AKC Companion Animal Recovery Award for Finding Lost Pets, published in Sherman, Tex.-based The Herald Democrat; the Purina One Health Award, offered by Nestle Purina PetCare, for The Many Faces of Feline Infectious Peritonitis, published in The Herald Democrat; and the Sticky Paws Training Award, sponsored by Fe-Lines Inc./Sticky Paws, for Trick Training Tabby, published in The Herald Democrat.
