Koko and YumYum Solve Another Mystery

Popular feline detective duo help their owner solve this whodunit.

Koko and YumYumSince 1966, Lilian Jackson Braun has won over cat-loving readers with tales of a pair of clever sleuthing cats, Koko and Yum Yum. The Siamese duo are back to help their owner, Qwill, get to the bottom of yet another whodunit in the 28th installment of Brauns popular Cat Who series. In The Cat Who Dropped a Bombshell, Koko develops an unnerving new habit: dropping from a balcony to land in some truly odd places, including on top of a visitors head.

The story takes place as the citizens of Pickax, Mich., feverishly prepare to celebrate the towns 150th anniversary. As Qwill helps put the towns plans into place, a hurricane gathers momentum, heading toward town. To top it off, a wealthy couple dies mysteriously, leading many to believe they were murdered. Will Qwill and his Siamese duo solve this latest mystery and prevent another bombshell from dropping? Pick up this latest release from Braun and find out for yourself!

I love the Cat Who... series. It's always entertaining reading Qwill's reactions to Koko and Yum Yum's antics. He's forever amazed at what his cats will do. I find myself laughing out loud. It's wonderfully written.

This was a thoroughly entertaining book. While Jackson's books are no longer hard-hitting mysteries, per se, she still captures life in a small town and the joys of two active, intelligent cats. Five paws up!

As a second-generation Koko and Yum Yum junkie, I can't wait to get my paws on Ms. Braun's latest "Cat Who" tome. Bravo!
