Newswire would be more useful if it were more recent. Daily or even weekly updates. No matter where Animal Abuse/Animal Cruelty Happens in the United States, I usually write a letter to the Editor(2 letters) One to a Local Newspaper & One to the Newspaper in the area where the storey appeared.

On Good Friday of this year(2008) person or persons unknown attempted to beat of cat to death with a "blunt" object. Reading this article(somewhat outdated) only proves there are mean spirited and evil people (to put it nicely) ou there. Animal Cruelty laws mean nothing to them, especially here in La Plata County(Colorado) where local law enforcment does NOT enforce Animal Cruelty Laws. They did not even return my call, let alone come out, take a police report, gather evidence, take pictures of the injured animal...Nothing. What good is Animal Cruelty Laws if they are not enforced?
