The first cat has been voted out of the Meow Mix House in New York City. Belle, the contestant from the Pet Adoption and Lifecare Society in Philadelphia, Pa., was asked to leave June 14. Belle will now join her new owner, Tatyana Mykhaylova, in Pennsylvania and will receive a years supply of Meow Mix cat food.
The Meow Mix House panel of experts voted to remove Belle from the competition when she refused to participate in one of the first feline challenges: the Climb-A-Thon. While the other nine contestants scampered up to explore new heights, Belle stayed put with her paws firmly on the ground.
Though she has left the competition and won't win the grand prize, Belle is still eligible to win the viewers choice award. Vote for your favorite cat contestant at www.meowmixhouse.com.
