Working to help feral cats in your community, or want to learn how? Then you might want to attend the National Feral Cat Summit 2006, Saturday, Sept. 9, at the South San Francisco Conference Center.
The conference presented by New York-based Neighborhood Cats features sessions on topics such as funding trap, neuter and release programs, advanced feral cat colony care, how to organize a mass spay day and working with wildlife groups to protect cats and birds.
Among the events speakers is the ASPCAs Debora Bresch, who will discuss Feral Cats, TNR and the Law. The keynote speaker is Daniel Crain, executive director of San Franciscos SPCA.
Sponsors include the ASPCA; In Defense of Animals; the PETCO Foundation; PETsMART Charities; The Humane Society of the United States; the San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SFSPCA) and SPAY USA.
