Cat Essay

Pauper to Prince Stories Sought

The American Humane Association and 20th Century Fox invite shelter professionals to enter an essay contest.

Cat ContestIn conjunction with the release of Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, the American Humane Association (AHA) and 20th Century Fox are sponsoring a contest for animal shelters. Shelter professionals are encouraged to submit a true story essay of 250 words or less about a homeless cat that entered the shelter as a pauper but left the shelter with a loving family and became a prince of his or her new home.

AHA representatives will judge the entries. One animal shelter will win the grand prize of a free screening of Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties, as well as a selection of 20th Century Fox DVD movie titles and autographed memorabilia from the movie. The screening is the perfect opportunity for fundraising, donor cultivation or a community event or a great reward for dedicated volunteers and staff.

The deadline to enter is June 30, 2006. For contest rules and an entry form, visit the AHA website.
