Cat Fanciers Association

Best Cats of 2005-2006 Announced

The Cat Fanciers Association crowns the highest scoring cats at its annual meeting.

Best CatsCongratulations to Grand Champion, BW, NW Majikmoon Will Silver With Age, the top scoring cat in the Cat Fanciers Association (www.cfainc.org) during the 2005-2006 show season. The blue-cream and white female Sphynx caught the attention and high scores of judges at show after show, charming cat experts with her good looks and excellent show presence.

The CFA presented its National and Breed awards at the Annual Awards Banquet in Reno, Nev., last month. The awards presentation is one of the highlights of CFAs annual meeting, and it attracts more than 500 cat fanciers with the color slide show that presents the winning cats.

Also earning recognition during the banquet were Grand Champion, BW, NW Dotdotdots Stradivarious, a chocolate spotted male Ocicat that was crowned Best Kitten, and Grand Champion, Grand Premier, NW Goliada Hermione, a blue Persian spay that is the 2005-2006 Best Cat in Premiership.

The Cat Fanciers Association, the worlds largest registry of pedigreed cats, is dedicated to the preservation of the pedigreed cat and to enhancing the well-being of all cats.

I would like to enter my cat in a cat show but she doesn't have one of those fancy names. As she would be entered as a household pet I would not have the name of the cattery to add. Any one know what the rules for naming a hhp are?

Do you have Rag dolls that show? And if so do they ever win? It seems that the judge just stick with a few breeds that they pick to win the top cat shows. I don't like watching them for that reason
