Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition (BARC) is hosting an art auction tomorrow evening, June 26, to raise funds for its no-kill, privately-funded animal shelter in Brooklyn, N.Y.
More than 30 New York City artists will be featured at the free event, which runs from 7:30 to 10:30 at the shelter, located in the hipster haven of Williamsburg at 86 North 1st Street, between Wythe and Berry Avenues. Animals will be featured in about half of the artwork, a shelter spokesperson said.
Each piece will sell for $250, and all proceeds go directly to the shelter. This is the group’s 5th annual art auction, and past shows brought in about $10,000. Around 100 people are expected to attend.
